n the era of "fake news" and modern technology, both factual and erroneous information are more readily available than ever before in history. This phenomenon has caused many people to base their world views and opinions on propaganda dispersed to the masses in the form of news headlines and thirty second soundbites. Consequently, most of those people never do any form of legitimate study or research for themselves. Instead, they join the ranks of patriots who position … mehrthemselves against a religion they view as the enemy.
In this second edition, Author Kenny Bomer (Mujahid Islam) goes into even more detail while addressing Islamophobia head-on in detailed chapters that shed light on how propaganda has been used to label and attack various groups throughout history. None more so than the followers of Islam. Bomer calls the reader’s attention to tactics that have been studied and perfected, and then used to tarnish people’s views of Islam. Bomer addresses misconceptions in detail, asking the reader to consider what Islam is, while rejecting what Islam is not.
Kenny Bomer (Mujahid Islam) reverted to Islam from Christianity at the age of 17. He lives in Houston, Texas. He is the founder of the Consider This TV Network and host of the popular YouTube talk show Consider Islam: LIVE with Kenny Bomer. Bomer is a public speaker, debater, and is a Khatib in the Houston area. He is a former hip-hop artist signed under the labels Mr. Henry/Ichiban Records (1986) and King B Music (2000). Along with his writing and community work, Bomer is also a certified API (510) Pressure Vessel Inspector through the American Petroleum Institute.
At the age of eleven, Bomer became a ward of the state after his parents abandoned him and his younger brother shortly after they separated. He then became a Brazoria County Youth Home (BCYH) resident in Freeport, Texas, until age eighteen. During that time, Bomer was introduced to religion through Christian employees of the BCYH who regularly attended Assemblies of God Churches. During that time, Bomer was also exposed to the religion of Islam through his fellow group mate in the music business, Norris J. Burse (a.k.a. Champ X or Norris Muhammad), who along with Bomer were known as the hip-hop/rap group, Def Squad. Bomer and Burse drew national attention in the late eighties to early nineties for their student/teacher collaboration in the music business. At the same time, Burse was employed as a history teacher and was one of Kenny Bomer’s football coaches at Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas. Through Burse’s affiliation with the Nation of Islam, best known for people such as Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan, and Elijah Muhammad, Kenny Bomer was introduced to Islam after reading a copy of the Qur’an during a trip to a recording studio. Bomer accepted Islam soon after thoroughly examining the religion during his independent studies and research. weniger
