Latin music is more then Gloris Estevan and Ricky Martin. This band is proof. I normally cringe when I hear critics referring to a band as "maturing" but in this case it actually fits. They seem to have reached a point where they are not worried about being one "hit" song away from losing their recording contract, allowing them to relax and really let loose with their musical style. One CD is instrumental (mostly)- a seamless foray through traditional, rock, techno … mehr(really!), symphony (really!) and a bunch of other styles that, I guess, they just dreamed up. The other CD has the "songs". More of what you expect from the band, but not the same stuff. The songwriting is less frenetic then, say, their first album and again they have broadened their musical style to include just about anything. The beauty of it is they make it all sound good. Enjoy this one. Oh, I've also heard the lyrics are very good, but I can't speak to that - no hablo Espanol!
